About The Position

We are seeking the best talent for a Technical Product Manager – Inbound Transportation . This position is based in New Jersey and requires onsite work at the New Brunswick office. This role plays a key role in crafting and delivering enterprise transportation technology capabilities that support Johnson & Johnson’s global supply chain. It drives the end ‑ to ‑ end success of inbound transportation solutions—from setting product direction to enabling adoption across the enterprise. The Technical Product Manager partners with Enterprise Global Transportation, segment leaders, and technology teams to ensure solutions meet today’s operational needs while supporting future transformation. Success in this role requires strong product leadership, technical understanding, and the ability to collaborate across diverse teams to deliver high-value and scalable solutions. Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in technical product management, product ownership, or related roles supporting enterprise technology platforms.
  • Experience in developing product strategies and business cases that drive investment for technical solutions.
  • Demonstrated ability to define and deliver complex digital solutions at scale.
  • Familiarity with supply chain and logistics processes, including inbound transportation flows.
  • Working knowledge of SAP and its role within supply chain or logistics ecosystems.
  • Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and their integration with transportation processes.
  • Experience partnering with business and technology leaders across functions and organizational levels.
  • Working Knowledge of agile delivery practices, backlog management, and product lifecycle management.
  • Foundational understanding of system integrations, data flows, APIs, and software development lifecycles.
  • Comfort using data, analytics, and insights to advise decisions and measure outcomes.
  • Strong communication, problem ‑ solving, and collaboration skills.
  • Dedication to inclusion, collaboration, and continuous learning.
  • Proven experience leveraging Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies to enhance product capabilities, improve user experience, and drive business outcomes.
  • Understanding AI concepts and frameworks, including agentic AI, with the ability to translate technical capabilities into product strategies.
  • Experience integrating AI-driven features into digital products or platforms, ensuring alignment with customer needs and organizational goals.
  • Ability to collaborate with data science and engineering teams to define AI requirements, evaluate feasibility, and prioritize AI-enabled functionality.
  • Awareness of ethical considerations and responsible AI practices, ensuring compliance with industry standards and organizational policies.
  • Hands-on experience generating prompts — creating, refining, and measuring prompts to boost workflow efficiency and performance.
  • Demonstrated ability to rapidly learn, evaluate, and adopt new AI tools and platforms to meet evolving project needs.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Transportation Management Systems (TMS) or enterprise logistics platforms.
  • Experience using Jira or similar product delivery and tracking tools.
  • Exposure to automation, sophisticated analytics, optimization, digital twins, or emerging supply chain technologies.
  • Experience supporting large ‑ scale enterprise deployments across regions or business segments.

Responsibilities

  • Define, communicate, and evolve the product vision and strategy for inbound transportation technology in alignment with enterprise supply chain objectives.
  • Find opportunities to improve transportation capabilities through modern platforms, data, automation, and new technologies, including AI ‑ enabled solutions.
  • Translate business needs into clear, prioritized product outcomes that balance value, feasibility, and operational readiness.
  • Partner with Enterprise Global Transportation and segment leaders to ensure technology solutions support operational perfection and strategic goals.
  • Collaborate with partners across Supply Chain, Transportation Operations, Procurement, Finance, and Technology teams globally.
  • Represent user and customer perspectives by incorporating feedback, insights, and data into product decisions.
  • Own and prioritize the product backlog, translating requirements into epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
  • Work closely with engineering, architecture, data, and integration teams to evaluate solution options and guide design decisions.
  • Support agile delivery through release planning, sprint activities, reviews, and demonstrations.
  • Balance delivery of new capabilities with reliability, security, compliance, and long ‑ term platform sustainability.
  • Lead enterprise ‑ wide deployment, adoption, and optimization of inbound transportation solutions.
  • Partner on communications, and training to support successful adoption and user readiness.
  • Supervise product performance, service levels, and business outcomes, using insights to inform continuous improvement.
  • Define and track product metrics and outcomes tied to business value and user experience.
  • Ensure solutions align with enterprise architecture, security, privacy, and compliance standards.
  • Promote continuous learning and improvement through experimentation, feedback, and iteration.
  • Contribute to team onboarding, knowledge sharing, and mentoring of product analysts or team members as needed.
  • Foster an inclusive, collaborative, and learning ‑ focused environment where diverse perspectives are encouraged.
  • Participate in agile ceremonies and cross ‑ team coordination activities.
