The Publishing group at the New York Times is responsible for the content management system for all of the Times. The Content Data Products Team is responsible for building and governing centralized, flexible platforms that serve as the definitive, compliance-cleared source for our content data. This role focuses on content metadata, specifically attribution, taxonomy, and the development of a knowledge graph. Content metadata is foundational to The Times' AI strategy. The Technical Product Manager II will own the vision for metadata systems, considering editorial needs, AI Platforms and Products group requirements, Partnerships, differences across Times brands (News, Cooking, Wirecutter, The Athletic, and Games), multimedia content types, and the journalistic mission. The role involves providing strategic direction, overseeing the execution of a product roadmap, and leading a team of engineers. The position reports to the Senior Technical Product Manager, Content Data Products.
