About The Position
Jerry.ai is seeking a Technical Product Manager for AI Engineering & Systems to lead their customer-facing Agentic AI product. This role involves leveraging LLMs, agents, and internal APIs to enhance customer experience and working with partners like OpenAI to integrate Jerry.ai services into the ChatGPT App. The company is a pre-IPO startup with significant funding, customer traction, and profitability. The position offers accelerated career growth due to a flat organizational structure and ambitious goals, with the role reporting directly to the COO. Jerry.ai aims to simplify car ownership by managing all aspects of the journey, including buying/selling, insurance, maintenance, and repairs, through an integrated app. The company has a strong foundation in generative AI, having built its own infrastructure for automating sales and service conversations, which now handles a significant portion of customer interactions. This role is crucial for consolidating scattered AI prompts, defining the future strategy for the AI platform, prioritizing the chatbot roadmap, and making strategic decisions about emerging technologies like voicebots and consumer AI applications, including managing the OpenAI relationship and the Jerry presence in the ChatGPT store.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in a technical role like forward deployed engineering, technical product management, or similar at a fast-paced startup.
- Passion and curiosity for AI systems including modern LLMs, etc.
- Track record of taking complex, strategic ideas and turning them into scalable, production-grade products.
- Comfortable diving into technical conversations about API design and system architecture.
- Familiarity with SQL and comfortable diving into the data to answer own questions and validate hypotheses.
- Ability to navigate technical tradeoffs and lead by example when implementing AI platform standards.

Responsibilities
- Define the strategy for migrating prompts from six locations onto a unified platform, sequencing the work, aligning engineering, data, operations, and other teams on the plan, and driving execution.
- Own the technical prioritization queue for the chatbot, keeping the team coordinated and moving without adding process overhead.
- Track voicebot and computer use closely enough to know when the technology crosses the threshold for serious investment.
- Own the OpenAI relationship and the Jerry presence in the ChatGPT store.
- Bring a point of view and influence AI investment decisions.
- Learn the prompt engineering workflow through writing and updating prompts.
- Understand how various tech stacks (e.g. Propelix, Botly, CRM, GitHub, and Replit) interact.
- Identify ground-level bottlenecks in the current AI platform.
