About The Position

Trans-Tech is the leading designer and manufacturer of RF and microwave components. This role involves setting up and operating a variety of automatic or semi-automatic machines in the production of the company's products. The operator will work from process sheets or written/verbal instructions to perform production tasks and check operations against predetermined tolerances. The primary duties include producing custom ceramic ingots through various processing tasks, which increase in complexity with experience gained through mentorship and on-the-job training. The operator will interact with supervisory personnel and engineers, communicate processing parameters, and report non-standard observations and measurement results. Key processing operations include Ingot Forming, Ingot Firing, Ingot Diameter Lathing, Ingot Length Lathing, Ingot Inspection, and Ingot Packaging. The operator is responsible for maintaining a clean and organized work area, cleaning all equipment and the area before the end of each shift, and reporting any equipment malfunctions or repair needs.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to regularly lift 10 lbs. and occasionally 55-60 lbs.
  • Ability to work in dusty environments
  • Standing 8 hours
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Must demonstrate safe work habits
  • Operate under ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 requirements
  • Work with attention to detail
  • Maintain accurate electronic and written records
  • Exposure to non-hazardous ceramic powders and liquids
  • Work in a fast paced, high- volume environment

Responsibilities
