Learn more at https://www.jnj.com/medtech We are searching for the best talent for Process Engineering Co-Op to be in PR San Lorenzo. The Co-op term is from January to December, 2027. Full time requirement (40 hours per week). Purpose As a Process Engineering Co-Op, you will support manufacturing and process improvement initiatives within Ethicon San Lorenzo. The role focuses on driving operational excellence through process optimization, project execution, quality improvements, data analysis, and implementation of engineering solutions while ensuring compliance with GMP, ISO, safety, and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- Completion of Undergraduate Freshman year at an accredited University is required.
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or a related engineering field
- Have a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher, reflective of all college coursework.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Permanently authorized to work in the U.S., must not require sponsorship of an employment visa (e.g., H-1B or green card) at the time of application or in the future. Students currently on CPT, OPT, or STEM OPT usually requires future sponsorship for long term employment and do not meet the requirements for this program unless eligible for an alternative long-term status that does not require company sponsorship.

Responsibilities
- Supporting and executing engineering projects of low to medium complexity.
- Identifying process improvement opportunities to increase efficiency, throughput, and productivity.
- Performing root cause analysis and implementing corrective and preventive actions.
- Supporting process validation activities and developing validation protocols.
- Managing and supporting Non-Conformance (NC) Quality Actions from initiation through completion.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure project objectives are achieved.
- Analyzing manufacturing data and recommending improvements to reduce waste, downtime, and costs.
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives using Lean and problem-solving methodologies.
- Coordinating communications between Ethicon San Lorenzo and equipment manufacturers or suppliers.
- Developing and presenting innovative solutions to improve manufacturing processes.
- Ensuring compliance with GMP, ISO, environmental, safety, and occupational health standards.
