The Pan American Health Organization (PAHO), Regional Office for the Americas of the World Health Organization (WHO), is seeking an energetic, results-driven and service-oriented Technical Officer, Strategic Information (Communicable Diseases) to support the development and strengthening of strategic information systems and promote the use of data to advance disease prevention, control, and elimination across the Region. Under the general supervision of the Director of the Communicable Diseases Prevention, Control and Elimination Department (CDE), and the direct supervision of the Unit Chief, CDE/HT, the selected candidate will: • Provide technical support for the management of strategic information on HIV, STIs, viral hepatitis, and tuberculosis, including data review, validation, and synthesis. • Analyze epidemiological and service delivery data and produce situation analyses to inform programmatic decisions. • Support the development of reports, dashboards, and data products at regional and country levels. • Develop and implement technical cooperation activities to strengthen surveillance, monitoring, and use of data for national planning. • Provide technical assistance to countries to strengthen information systems and monitoring frameworks. • Promote collaboration and integration of strategic information across programs and partners. • Contribute to planning, reporting, and resource mobilization efforts, including work plans and technical documents.
