The Campus Switching team serves as the technical engine behind our Catalyst 9000 portfolio, Campus Fabrics, and security solutions. As a Technical Marketing Engineer, you will serve as the primary subject matter expert, translating advanced technologies like AI, security, and fabric networking into compelling business solutions. You will own the creation of high-impact technical content, including deployment guides and demos, to empower sales teams and influence key customer decisions. By partnering with Engineering to shape product roadmaps and validating features in lab environments, you ensure our offerings meet evolving market demands. You will act as the technical voice of the customer, driving product adoption and providing critical feedback that influences our long-term strategic direction.

Requirements

  • Bachelors + 7 years of experience in Technical Marketing, Solutions Engineering or a related networking role, or Masters + 4 years of related experience.
  • Proficiency in enterprise networking, including network security, campus switching, and routing.
  • Experience with network operating systems (e.g., IOS XE, NXOS), automation tools (e.g., Python, Ansible), and network telemetry.
  • Ability to produce technical collateral and deliver high-impact presentations
  • Ability to translate complex technical concepts into simplified, customer-centric narratives.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in enterprise Technical Marketing or Sales Engineering roles with direct customer and field engagement
  • Familiarity with campus deployments, Artificial Intelligence use cases in networking, network security technologies
  • Experience with programmable network interfaces, and REST APIs.
  • Experience leading cross-functional initiatives independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Advanced technical certifications such as CCIE or CCNP.

Responsibilities
