About The Position

As a Technical Manager Applications Engineer on our Marketing team, you'll work hand-in-hand with our customers, enabling them to transform our products into cutting-edge designs, all while building long lasting partnerships that thrive on success. In this role as a strategic and technically accomplished leader, you will head our Product Definition Engineering (PDE) team. In this role, you will bridge the gap between customer system requirements and breakthrough power silicon. You will lead a high-performing team responsible for defining next-generation power delivery products, including digital controllers, point-of-load (POL) converters, and vertical power delivery modules (VPDMs), specifically optimized for High-Performance Computing (HPC) and AI infrastructure.

Requirements

  • BS/MS in Electrical Engineering (or a related technical field), demonstrating a strong academic foundation.
  • 10+ years in power electronics with 2+ years in technical management/leadership, fostering an inclusive and collaborative team environment.
  • Expertise in power conversion topologies, multiphase buck converters, and digital control loops; skilled in systems-level architecture and trade-off analysis.
  • Proven ability to sell technical concepts through data-driven analysis and simulation; brings strong technical credibility in customer-facing settings and communicates inclusively to diverse audiences.
  • Experience with international teams and Tier-1 global customers; excels in cross-functional influence and execution with a global, inclusive mindset.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Vertical Power Delivery (VPD) and advanced packaging (e.g., embedded/co-packaged power).
  • Familiarity with AI/Server power delivery and firmware interfaces such as PMBus and AVSBus.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and scale an inclusive team of PDEs; foster a culture of ownership, innovation, and accountability.
  • Build a highly visible, customer-centric function; translate complex platform needs into actionable roadmaps and rigorous PRDs/system specs.
  • Own requirements and set the architectural vision for digital multiphase controllers, integrated power stages (DrMOS), and advanced VPDMs (control schemes, phase scaling, telemetry, protection).
  • Drive innovation in high-density, Low-voltage power solutions for next-gen CPUs/GPUs/AI accelerators.
  • Ensure cross-functional alignment with IC Design, Firmware, Marketing, and Operations; lead system trade-offs (integration, efficiency vs. density, thermal) to meet performance, cost, and scalability goals.
  • Partner with Systems Application Engineering to deliver robust validation across transient, thermal, and EMI/EMC metrics.
  • Engage the industry (Hyperscalers, OEMs, platform architects) and provide technical advocacy and deep-dive reviews to position our products as the ecosystem’s gold standard (e.g., co-packaged power).
