About The Position

The Opportunity: With all the information available today, it takes a skilled linguist to know how to find and interpret the best data to give their clients the right answers. That's why we need a linguist like you to support critical decision-making. As a linguist, you use your specialized language and technical experience and your attention to detail to develop technical translations to give your client the actionable intelligence and context they need. If you have strong analytical skills and a problem-solving mindset, we have an opportunity to use those skills to support our client. As a Technical Linguist on our team, you’ll use your language skills in translation to enable better analytic understanding of various systems. You’ll validate information and apply client tradecraft as you build technical translations. As the authority on technical translations, your client will look to you for time-critical recommendations, often under pressure. This is a chance to grow your expertise, develop new skills in technical translation, and share your methodologies with other analysts. Requirements

3+ years of experience translating technical military documents and systems manuals
Experience translating large documents
Ability to decipher highly technical documents
Ability to show a score of 2 / 2 on the Defense Language Proficiency Test (DLPT) in the Chinese Mandarin language
TS/SCI clearance
HS diploma or GED

Nice To Haves

Experience working with the U.S. Army
Bachelor's degree
