About The Position

As a Mexican Linguist at GDIT, you will be a natively fluent language specialist with a Mexican background, supporting a social media program in Tampa, FL. Your role is crucial in ensuring safety and intelligence. You will develop and maintain expertise in designated regional issues, utilizing publicly available online information resources. Responsibilities include reading, analyzing, and drafting communications related to regional and ideological discussions within foreign language media environments. You will also examine current media statements or postings to support trend analysis and identify key communicators. The position requires demonstrating strong reading and writing expertise in the assigned language, incorporating custom social media solutions to understand online environments, and effectively communicating trends. You will support operations planning, demonstrate knowledge of online social media and various technologies, and document activities, notes, informative papers, or whitepapers in English. Some travel may be required.

Requirements

Natively fluent language specialist, with a Mexican background.
Ability to read/write at a native fluency, with a thorough understanding of the area.
Bachelor's Degree required; experience may be substituted in lieu of degree.
5+ years of related experience.
Minimum DoW Secret clearance required; select positions require TS/SCI.
Ability to work nonstandard hours and in on-call status for periods of time may be required.
Select candidates will be language-tested.
US Citizenship Required.
Skills: Communication, Military Operations, Spanish Language.
