About The Position

This opportunity is for a skilled linguist to find and interpret data to provide clients with accurate answers and support critical decision-making. The role involves using specialized language and technical experience, along with attention to detail, to develop technical translations that provide actionable intelligence and context. As a Technical Linguist, you will apply strong analytical skills and a problem-solving mindset to enable a better analytic understanding of various systems through translation. Responsibilities include validating information, applying client tradecraft in technical translations, and providing time-critical recommendations, often under pressure. The position offers a chance to grow expertise, develop new skills in technical translation, and share methodologies with other analysts, with resources for mentoring and learning new skills and tools.

Requirements

3+ years of experience translating technical military documents and systems manuals
Experience translating large documents
Ability to decipher highly technical documents
Ability to show a score of 2/2 on the Defense Language Proficiency Test (DLPT) in the Chinese Mandarin language
TS/SCI clearance
HS diploma or GED

Nice To Haves

Experience working with the U.S. Army
Bachelor's degree
