About The Position

The Technical Lead, Software Developer provides technical leadership and ownership for highly complex data, hardware, software, or process initiatives. The role analyzes, designs, and develops systems based on user specifications and may address systems integration, compatibility, and multi-platform issues. The position is expected to identify opportunities and risks proactively and drive their resolution, while maintaining knowledge of Huntington’s technical environment, system interconnections, and relevant industry trends. The Technical Lead coaches and mentors teammates, influences cross-functional stakeholders, and leads highly complex, strategic projects. Other duties may be assigned. This role is onsite at Huntington’s Easton Oval office in Columbus, Ohio.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or at least four additional years of equivalent software development experience.
• At least 7 years of hands-on object-oriented software development experience.
• At least 1 year of technical lead experience, including coaching or mentoring others.

Nice To Haves

• At least 5 years of experience with Java, Python, and SQL.
• At least 2 years of experience with Spring Boot or microservice architecture.
• Experience working in multi-cloud environments, including AWS and GCP.
• Technical knowledge of the ETL/ELT lifecycle.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to connect teams toward common goals.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic technical and consultative leadership and ownership on complex technical matters.
• Analyze, design, and develop systems based on identified user specifications.
• Provide technical leadership in resolving complex data, hardware, software, and process problems.
• Address systems integration, compatibility, and multiple-platform issues.
• Proactively identify opportunities and risks and drive them to resolution.
• Maintain knowledge of Huntington’s technical environment, system interconnections, and relevant technical industry trends.
• Coach and mentor direct-team members and influence cross-functional stakeholders.
• Serve as project leader for highly complex and strategic projects.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
