About The Position

The Technical Lead, Software Developer provides technical leadership in solving highly complex data, hardware, software, and process initiatives. The role analyzes, designs, and develops systems based on identified user specifications, and may address systems integration, compatibility, and multi-platform problems. It is expected to identify opportunities and risks proactively and drive their resolution, maintain knowledge of Huntington’s technical environment and industry trends, and coach and mentor team members while influencing cross-functional stakeholders. The position also leads highly complex, strategic projects and performs other duties as assigned. The role is onsite at the Easton Oval office in Columbus, Ohio.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or at least 4 additional years of equivalent software development experience.
At least 7 years of hands-on object-oriented programming software development experience.
At least 1 year of technical lead experience, including coaching or mentoring others.

Nice To Haves

At least 5 years of experience with Java, Python, and SQL.
At least 2 years of experience with Spring Boot or microservice architecture.
Experience working in multi-cloud environments, including AWS and GCP.
Technical knowledge of the ETL/ELT lifecycle.
Strong communication skills and the ability to connect teams toward common goals.

Responsibilities

Provide strategic technical and consultative leadership and ownership on complex technical matters.
Analyze, design, and develop systems based on identified user specifications.
Lead efforts to solve highly complex data, hardware, software, or process problems.
Address systems integration, compatibility, and multi-platform issues.
Proactively identify opportunities and risks and drive their resolution.
Maintain and demonstrate knowledge of Huntington’s technical environment and how its systems are interconnected.
Maintain knowledge of technical industry trends, particularly as they apply to Huntington.
Coach and mentor direct team members and influence cross-functional stakeholders.
Lead highly complex and strategic projects.
Perform other duties as assigned.
