About The Position

We are seeking a Technical Lead with expertise in Data Warehouse and Java to join our team. This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining large-scale data warehouse solutions in AWS, primarily using Amazon Redshift. You will collaborate with business stakeholders and data engineers to gather requirements and deliver robust data models and architectures. The position requires implementing ETL pipelines using AWS services, optimizing performance, and ensuring the security and scalability of our data solutions. You will also be responsible for integrating data from various sources, monitoring and troubleshooting issues, and creating automated workflows. Collaboration with data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders is key to ensuring data accessibility for analysis. Additionally, you will develop data models, data dictionaries, and documentation, while ensuring compliance with data governance, security, and privacy best practices within AWS.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
  • Five (5) years of relevant experience
  • Five (5) years of experience with solutioning, designing, developing, and maintaining large-scale Java applications and systems in AWS
  • Five (5) years of experience with implementing ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) pipelines using AWS services such as any one or a combination of AWS EC2, AWS S3, AWS Glue, AWS Lambda, or AWS Step Function
  • Five (5) years of experience with any one or a combination of AWS Lambda, AWS RDS, AWS S3, AWS Step Functions, Java, Spring
  • Two (2) years of experience with designing, developing, and maintaining large-scale Data Warehouse solutions in AWS
  • Two (2) years of experience with AWS Glue, Python, Qlik and Power BI
  • Five (5) years of experience with designing, developing, and modifying software systems, using scientific analysis and mathematical models to predict and measure outcomes and consequences of design

Responsibilities

  • Designing, developing, and maintaining large-scale data warehouse solutions in AWS, primarily using Amazon Redshift
  • Collaborating with business stakeholders and data engineers to gather requirements and deliver data models and architectures that meet the needs of the business
  • Implementing ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) pipelines using ASW services such as AWS Glue, AWS Lambda, and AWS Step Function
  • Optimizing and fine-tuning the performance of the data warehouse and ETL processes
  • Ensuring high availability, scalability, and security of data warehouse solutions
  • Integrating data from various sources (databases, S3 files, Salesforces, etc.) into a unified data warehouse
  • Monitoring and troubleshooting issues related to data warehouse performance and data integrity
  • Creating and maintaining automated workflows and processes for data ingestion, transformation, and reporting
  • Collaborating with data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders to ensure that data is accessible and available for analysis
  • Developing data models, data dictionaries, and documentation for users and team members
  • Ensuring compliance with best practices in data governance, security, and privacy within AWS
