About The Position

We are seeking a Java Technical Lead in Richmond, VA for an 18-month contract position. This role requires candidates to be located within a 30-minute drive of Richmond, VA, and will be primarily onsite. The ideal candidate will have prior experience with STATE/FEDERAL client projects.

Requirements

• 12+ years of experience in Java development
• Strong Understanding of making Rest API calls
• Able to integrate with and managing APIs exposing Microservices (REST, SOAP) including development and support of Java/JavaScript services
• Good understanding in Java Spring Boot and Web services, Message Oriented, API Gateway (RESTful API)
• Strong understanding MYSQL and Oracle databases
• Strong troubleshooting skills
• Ability to individually drive a root cause analysis process
• Experience in handling development & analysis of Camunda, JBoss Fuse, Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, Kafka, IBM MQ code bases
• Good communication skill (verbal/written)
• Knowledge on DevOps Tools, Jenkins, Docker, Tomcat configuration, Kubernetes
• Knowledge on Agile / Agile Craft
• STATE/FEDERAL client experience in past
