About The Position

We are seeking a Java Technical Lead with 12+ years of experience in Java development. This role requires strong understanding of making REST API calls, integrating with and managing APIs exposing Microservices (REST, SOAP), and development/support of Java/JavaScript services. The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of Java Spring Boot, Web services, Message Oriented Architecture, and API Gateway (RESTful API). Proficiency in MySQL and Oracle databases, along with strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to individually drive root cause analysis, is essential. Experience with Camunda, JBoss Fuse, Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, Kafka, and IBM MQ code bases is also required. Knowledge of DevOps Tools, Jenkins, Docker, Tomcat configuration, Kubernetes, and Agile/Agile Craft methodologies is necessary. Good communication skills (verbal/written) are a must. This is an 18-month contract position requiring 5 days onsite in Richmond, VA, with candidates needing to be within a 30-minute drive. Prior STATE/FEDERAL client experience is mandatory.

Requirements

• 12+ years of experience in Java development
