About The Position

This role is part of BAE Systems' nationwide LEAP Internship & Co-op Program, where interns will Learn, Engage, Apply, and Progress within the company. The LEAP Program offers the opportunity to work alongside experienced professionals on impactful projects, engage in career development opportunities, and network with business leaders and other students. The intern will move beyond basic tasks to lead high-impact logistics transformations, implementing cutting-edge RFID technology to automate inventory signaling and eliminate manual replenishment gaps. They will act as a strategic analyst, auditing min-max levels to ensure the supply chain can meet future demand. The role involves conducting time studies, applying Lean fundamentals, designing layouts in CAD, and solving unique operational challenges with minimal oversight. The intern will also author the command media and technical guides that define how manufacturing systems operate.

Requirements

  • Actively enrolled in a Bachelor’s Degree program, entering College Junior or Senior year in a business or industrial engineering degree.
  • Motivated individual with strong problem-solving abilities and ability to work independently.
  • Effective communication skills (both verbal and written).
  • Excellent team player who is willing to contribute and learn.

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred Degree's: Industrial Engineering, Business Logistics, Supply Chain Management.
  • Ability to multi-task.
  • Attention to detail / critical thinking.
  • Develop and deploy a framework of continuous improvement utilizing lean principles.
  • Ability to analyze data, understand process flows, track performance, and make improvements.
  • Microsoft Office Suite including SharePoint/Power BI.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
