About The Position
The Electronic Systems’ Continuous Improvement team has technical internships beginning in Spring 2027. Opportunities exist supporting a variety of efforts in engineering development, integration, test and transition to production efforts on complex electronic and mechanical systems. In this position, you will participate in BAE Systems' nationwide LEAP Internship & Co-op Program, where you will Learn, Engage, Apply, and Progress within the company. The LEAP Program will provide you with the opportunity to work alongside experienced professionals on impactful projects, engage in career development opportunities, and network with our business leaders and the other students in the program.
Requirements
- Pursuing a BS Degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar and will complete your Junior year prior to summer 2027.
- Eligible for DOD Security Clearance.
- Be able to relocate to Southern NH area
- Have reliable transportation to and from assigned work site
- Be able to work full 40-hour work week (Exceptions made for academics with advanced notice)
- Motivated self-starter with leadership skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Excellent problem solving skills, judgment, and analytical capability.
- Ability to close on discrete tasking in a timely manner.
- Strong technical writing and verbal communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Utilize computer-aided design equipment and/or graphic tools to design components, systems, portion of systems and modify existing designs to develop or improve production.
- Perform a variety of moderate and complex tasks and have the ability to use variety of tools to include but not limited to, calipers, gauges, tape measure, ruler, 3D printer, and other mechanical devices to aid in design and development and verification of products
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
