About The Position

We’re seeking a Technical Governance & Insights Manager to serve as a key administrative and operational leader supporting our technical governance framework. This role is instrumental in ensuring organizational alignment on architectural decisions, maintaining compliance through cyclical attestations, and facilitating seamless coordination of our Architecture Review Board (ARB). The successful candidate will be the backbone of our technical governance processes, enabling strategic decision-making across the enterprise while maintaining rigorous documentation and stakeholder communication standards. This position uniquely combines governance expertise with advanced analytics and AI capabilities, leveraging data-driven insights and emerging technologies to enhance governance effectiveness, identify risks, and optimize processes across our technical infrastructure.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Project Management, Data Analytics, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of demonstrated experience in project management roles, with preference for those involving technical or governance initiatives.
  • Solid grasp of enterprise architecture concepts, technology infrastructure, and the ability to engage meaningfully with technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to translate governance data into actionable insights; proficiency with analytical methodologies to support decision-making, risk identification, and process optimization.
  • Proficiency with data analysis tools and dashboards (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Excel analytics); demonstrated ability to extract insights from governance and operational data.
  • Strong understanding of technology platforms and end-user computing tools (EUC).
  • Experience with governance, compliance, or risk management frameworks.
  • Excellent organizational and administrative capabilities with demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent workstreams.
  • Proficiency with collaboration and productivity tools (Microsoft Office Suite, project management platforms, document management systems).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to distill complex technical concepts and analytical findings for diverse audiences.

Nice To Haves

  • Hands-on experience applying generative AI techniques to data and analytic topics; familiarity with prompt engineering and AI-assisted workflows.
  • Proficiency with SQL or Python for data extraction, transformation, and analysis.
  • Experience building or working with governance dashboards and predictive analytics models.
  • Prior experience with Architecture Review Boards or similar governance bodies.
  • Familiarity with banking, financial services, or regulated industry governance practices.

Responsibilities

  • Support the implementation and evolution of RBC’s technical governance framework, ensuring alignment with organizational standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Utilize analytics tools and dashboards to monitor governance compliance trends, identify patterns in architectural decisions, and generate actionable insights that inform policy enhancements and strategic governance improvements.
  • Evaluate and recommend AI-powered tools for automating governance workflows, attestation tracking, and compliance monitoring; assess opportunities to deploy agentic AI solutions and intelligent automation to streamline repetitive administrative processes and enhance decision support.
  • Coordinate, schedule, and manage the collection and documentation of cyclical attestations from stakeholders, maintaining audit trails and compliance records; leverage predictive analytics to flag non-compliance trends, predict attestation gaps, and optimize collection workflows.
  • Serve as the primary administrative coordinator for the ARB, including meeting scheduling, agenda development, documentation, and action item tracking; utilize data analytics to support evidence-based agenda prioritization and track recommendation outcomes.
  • Plan and execute monthly ARB meetings, prepare meeting materials, capture decisions and recommendations, and distribute meeting minutes to stakeholders; analyze meeting patterns, recommendation trends, and decision velocity to optimize governance processes and identify emerging architectural risks.
  • Manage governance-related administrative functions including document management, stakeholder communication, and process improvement initiatives; use data analytics to identify bottlenecks, measure process efficiency, and recommend data-backed enhancements.
  • Liaison between technical teams, leadership, and governance bodies to ensure clear communication and alignment on architectural decisions and initiatives; present analytics-backed insights on governance health, compliance metrics, and emerging technology risks.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of governance activities, decisions, and attestations for audit and compliance purposes; structure and organize governance data to enable analytical querying, reporting, and trend analysis.
