About The Position

This position is with Henkel's Adhesive Technologies business unit, focusing on the General Industrial Adhesive Technologies business for the Loctite brand. The role involves growing and maintaining profitability by prospecting for new business opportunities at existing and targeted OEM/MRO accounts within the South Shore of Quebec, NB, NS, and PEI territory. Travel is approximately 40% overnight.

Requirements

  • Post-Secondary Education required; University Degree preferred.
  • Must be a self-starter and able to work independently.
  • Must have strong interpersonal and organization skills.
  • Must be competent with Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
  • Must feel comfortable presenting to groups of people.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and natural curiosity of manufacturing processes.
  • Valid Canadian Driver’s License.
  • Fluency in French and English required.

  • Previous industrial sales experience preferred.
  • Distribution channel management preferred.
  • Local and key account knowledge an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Sell OEM/MRO products, determine customer needs at existing and new accounts.
  • Develop new value-added opportunities to grow sales and market presence.
  • Establish Territory Business Plan to create tactics for growth in key/target markets/customers.
  • Implement Time and Territory Management techniques to achieve objectives.
  • Learn and implement sales skills training.
  • Implement marketing programs and provide feedback to the marketing department.
  • Motivate, educate, and close business in group settings like OEM/MRO seminars and Customer Training Schools.
  • Train, work with, and motivate distribution channel partners.
  • Assume responsibility for other duties as assigned by the Regional Manager.
  • Operate within approved expense plan.
