The Technical Electro-Mechanical Specialist, Systems Phone Support will work with internal and external sources to gather information, analyze, and troubleshoot to find solutions that satisfy customers.

Requirements

  • Ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
  • Strong electrical experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of an organization.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, etc.
  • Good working knowledge and the ability to use MS Office software and email and Google suite.
  • A pleasant phone voice, good interpersonal skills, and good customer service skills are required.
  • Must be able to multitask in a fast-paced environment to manage time and workload to meet deadlines.

Nice To Haves

  • Trade school or two-year technical degree desired.
  • BPCS manufacturing (AS400) software is a plus.
  • Electrical certificates desired.
  • Refrigeration license desired.
  • Electrical background desired, with the ability to read electrical schematics, PLC controls, three phase power (high and low voltage), and AC/DC circuitry.
  • HVAC experience desired or a basic understanding of the refrigeration cycle and components, with the ability to read refrigeration and electrical ladder diagrams and mechanical prints.

Responsibilities

  • Serves as the primary point of contact for customers and field service technicians seeking technical troubleshooting assistance, delivering timely, professional support and accurate product information via phone, email, and the service ticketing system.
  • Supports customers and field personnel by addressing technical service questions and coordinating service and parts orders with a focus on accuracy, communication, and customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborates with team members to determine service needs, required parts, and scope-of-work details for accurate creation of aftermarket service work orders.
  • Actively supports service growth by recommending value-added services, retrofits, and upgrades that align with customer needs and operational goals.
  • Collaborates with field service engineers and internal teams to identify root causes of remote equipment issues, implement corrective actions, and document findings that drive product enhancements and improve reliability for customers.
