Technical Editor (Mid-Level)

About The Position

Amentum is seeking a Technical Editor (Mid-Level) to support the Defense Intelligence Agency’s Defense Intelligence Enterprise. In the Intelligence Community, how something is written can matter as much as what it says. A muddled assessment gets ignored; a mismarked one causes real damage. As a Technical Editor supporting DIA, you'll be the last line of quality for intelligence products, sharpening logic and clarity, enforcing agency style and classification standards, and working shoulder to shoulder with analysts to make their strongest possible case on the page. This position is contingent upon award of contract, business needs, security clearance verification, and funding availability.

  • Active TS/SCI clearance
  • 8+ years of relevant editing experience, with recent experience within the last 2 years
  • Bachelor's degree in English, journalism, communications, or a related field
  • Command of IC and DoD classification marking guidance
  • The diplomacy to tell an analyst their draft needs work, and the skill to help them fix it
