About The Position

IMA World Health, a member of Corus International, is seeking a Technical Director to lead monitoring, evaluation, and learning (MEL) efforts for an anticipated five-year, CDC-funded project, Capacity Building for Global, Regional, and National Immunization Programs. The project aims to strengthen immunization programs in priority countries so they can prevent, control, and eliminate or eradicate vaccine-preventable diseases, reduce illness and death, and respond to emerging global health threats. It will strengthen immunization services, vaccine-preventable disease surveillance, and outbreak preparedness and response; reach un- or under-immunized high-risk groups; support sustainable, evidence-based immunization decisions; and improve program evaluation. In coordination with the MERL Director and under the supervision of the Project Director, the Technical Director will oversee primary evaluation and performance-monitoring data collection, data quality assessment and validation assistance using health management information systems such as DHIS2, and analysis and interpretation of primary and secondary data. The role leads the strategy for improving immunization program performance through better data quality and timely data use, provides technical assistance to implementing partners and national and sub-national stakeholders, documents and disseminates lessons and deliverables, and participates in project coordination mechanisms. The position oversees project monitoring and evaluation activities and the design and implementation of quantitative and qualitative data collection methods and tools. It develops systems for data collection, quality assurance, analysis, and reporting; builds staff and stakeholder capacity in monitoring, evaluation, and data use; supports recruitment of consultants and temporary field staff as needed; and ensures data integrity, security, and ethical compliance. The Technical Director contributes to project reporting, learning and adaptive management, knowledge products, and coordination and data review meetings. The position reports to Corus headquarters and may be remote, depending on circumstances; travel to project sites may be required.
