Building with Perspective - Treehouse Fabrication & Scenic is a seasoned team of craftsmen and craftswomen who transform impressive visions into tangible realities, delivering custom-fabricated environments for both brands and agencies. This role participates in all project phases, including conceptual designs, presentations, schematic design, design development, construction documents and production. The Technical Designer collaborates with the design team, clients, consultants, contractors, fabricators, regulatory agencies, and other vendors to meet overall project objectives. They will also produce shop drawings and illustrative diagrams as needed.

Requirements

Proficient in AutoCAD, Rhino
Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite Illustrator & Sketch Up is a plus
Time Management: Collaborating with project managers, builders & vendors, often on multiple projects
Analytical Skills: Ability to solve problems, analyze data and make decisions that affect the project
Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
Detailed knowledge of material tolerances & build/assembly approach
Works well with a team
Solid analytical and problem solving abilities
Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% or more of the time

Responsibilities

Work with the project management team to convert project briefs into designs
Modify existing client designs to be practical and functional
Create build drawings
Create CNC Files
Work with third party engineering firms to obtain engineering wet stamps
Work with building and safety to obtain necessary permits
Perform site surveys
Ability to read and interpret plans, specs, schedules and other construction documents
