About The Position

The Technical Delivery Manager serves as the primary coordination point between business stakeholders and the software development organization. The role manages technical request intake and ensures requests are documented, categorized, assigned, and appropriately routed. It clarifies business problems, desired outcomes, priorities, acceptance criteria, dependencies, and stakeholder decisions before development begins, while translating business needs into actionable work. The manager maintains visibility into the development pipeline and governs work entering the queue, partnering with business and technology leaders to prioritize approved work. The role coordinates delivery from discovery and design through development, testing, release, and closure; facilitates delivery and stakeholder meetings; identifies and resolves blockers and dependencies; and communicates progress, risks, decisions, expectations, and priority changes. It also maintains accurate workflow records and supports practical delivery standards and continued adoption of Kanban, continuous delivery, work-in-progress limits, and flow-based measurement. The position is based at the company’s home office in Columbia, Missouri. Work is primarily during standard business hours, with some flexibility.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of experience in technical project management, delivery management, program management, business analysis, product operations, or a similar role supporting software development teams.
  • Experience bridging business stakeholders and technical teams, particularly when requirements are incomplete or priorities compete.
  • Understanding of the software development lifecycle and ability to follow technical discussions, ask informed questions, and recognize misaligned requirements, dependencies, or proposed solutions.
  • Strong project and work-management discipline, including managing backlogs, priorities, dependencies, risks, decisions, milestones, and stakeholder communication.
  • Comfort owning the administrative and operational discipline required to keep Monday.com, Jira, Azure DevOps, Freshservice, or similar systems accurate and current.
  • Ability to distinguish operational support issues, defects, enhancements, projects, and larger product or architectural decisions and route them appropriately.
  • Ability to turn loosely defined requests into clear, actionable work without unnecessary bureaucracy.
  • Confidence facilitating conversations with executives, business leaders, engineers, designers, support teams, and external partners.
  • Clear, direct communication skills, with the ability to keep stakeholders aligned without unnecessary detail.
  • Ability to push back constructively when work is not ready, priorities are unclear, scope is expanding, or new requests could disrupt committed work.
  • Ownership of follow-through, including proactively surfacing stalled decisions, blockers, and missed commitments.
  • Ability to bring structure to developing project intake, prioritization, development, testing, and release-management practices.
  • Collaborative, practical, organized, low-ego approach, with a strong bias toward helping the broader team succeed.

  • Experience managing development work originating from an IT service management platform such as Freshservice or ServiceNow.
  • Experience designing or improving intake, prioritization, backlog, release-management, or demand-management processes.
  • Experience supporting a transition from sprint-based Agile practices to Kanban or continuous delivery.
  • Experience with cycle time, throughput, aging work in progress, cumulative flow, or other delivery-performance metrics.
  • Background in business analysis, software development, UX, QA, IT operations, or technical support.
  • Experience in storage, real estate technology, retail, e-commerce, or other multi-location operating environments.
  • PMP, PMI-ACP, PSM, CSM, or Kanban-related credentials; helpful but not required.

  • Facilitate communication between business and technical teams, translating business needs into actionable work while preserving the intent of each request.
  • Maintain a consolidated view of open development work, including website initiatives, operational projects, defects, enhancements, technical dependencies, and Freshservice tickets requiring engineering support.
  • Govern work entering the development queue and help prevent incomplete, duplicative, unapproved, or poorly defined requests from disrupting active priorities.
  • Partner with business and technology leaders to set priorities and ensure the development team works on the highest-value approved items.
  • Coordinate work through discovery, design, development, testing, release, and closure, keeping ownership and next steps clear.
  • Lead or facilitate standups, refinement sessions, planning discussions, delivery reviews, retrospectives, and stakeholder status meetings as needed.
  • Identify blockers, stalled decisions, cross-team dependencies, scope changes, and resource conflicts early, and drive them toward resolution.
  • Coordinate development work originating from Freshservice, ensuring support tickets are linked, tracked, communicated, and closed after development is completed.
  • Help protect the development team from unnecessary interruptions and context switching by reinforcing an organized intake and prioritization process.
  • Keep Monday.com boards and related workflow tools accurate regarding status, ownership, priority, risks, dependencies, and next actions.
  • Provide clear updates to leadership and stakeholders on progress, risks, decisions needed, delivery expectations, and changes in priority.
  • Coordinate with UX, QA, marketing, infrastructure, support, vendors, and other teams when delivery requires work outside the development group.
  • Help establish delivery standards for definitions of ready and done, acceptance criteria, testing, release readiness, documentation, and post-release validation.
  • Support adoption of Kanban, continuous delivery, work-in-progress limits, cycle-time measurement, and other flow-based delivery practices.
  • Continuously improve how technical work is requested, reviewed, prioritized, delivered, communicated, and measured.
