About The Position

Labcorp is seeking a Technical Consultant to join our team Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00 am-4:30 pm. Job Responsibilities · Assisting in overseeing the technical component of the laboratory to ensure that patient results are reported reliably, including reviewing AMR studies and instrument comparisons · Working with the Technical Director and Technical Supervisors to ensure accuracy for all testing in the lab, including instrument performance and identifying root causes when issues arise · Provide additional technical support to Technical Director and Technical Supervisors as needed (e.g. validations, verification) · Accurately responds to client inquires that are technical in nature and escalate, as needed · Effectively communicates with clients, physicians, nurses, and LabCorp staff and provides technical expertise, as needed · Projects credibility and builds rapport with medical doctors/LabCorp clients, providing quick/accurate responses to inquires · Assists in the review, interpretation, and reporting of complex and routine test results · Shares experiences and ideas on technical improvements · Adheres to laboratory policies and procedures · Assist with other special projects, as needed At Labcorp we have a passion in helping people live happy and healthy lives. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a Chemical or Biological Science, Clinical Laboratory Science, or Medical Technology
  • 5 years or more experience of Technologist in a lab setting
  • CLIA, CAP laboratory environment
  • Have demonstrated hands-on experience with laboratory procedures
  • Familiarity with LCLS, LCWS, SIS, eAssist, and other Labcorp IT systems
  • Skilled in the use of Microsoft Office and EP Evaluator
  • Demonstrated proficiency in the Hematology Department along with strong knowledge of scientific concepts and effective clinical practices/procedures
  • Excellent technical and problem solving skills
  • Discretion in handling confidential information
  • Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
  • The position requires the candidate to be extremely organized.
  • Working to tight deadlines, flexibility in approach, exceptional communication skills and attention to detail are essential.

Nice To Haves

  • Current or prior Labcorp experience
  • ASCP or AMT certification
