The Technical Configuration Management (TCM) function ensures the accuracy, consistency, and traceability of product configurations across the business unit. TCM professionals serve as key liaisons between Sales / Account Teams and internal stakeholders within the DDP Business Unit, aids Sales in customer-facing configuration-focused interactions, manage configuration documentation, coordinate cross-functional configuration reviews, and maintain configuration integrity throughout the customer order lifecycle. TCM plays a critical role in enabling efficient product delivery, optimizing customer order hardware and software content, and supporting business growth through configuration excellence. This is a business-critical role requiring high attention to detail. Candidates must be prepared for significant operational demands and time-sensitive deliverables. Candidates must possess the ability to work effectively under pressure and manage shifting priorities.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in configuration management tools and processes, including Product Architecture, BOM management, Engineering changes, and Configuration Accuracy discussions.
  • Ability to work across multiple functions including Product Line Management, Engineering, Manufacturing, Business Management, and Sales to align configuration requirements and resolve configuration-related issues.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage shifting priorities.
  • Cross-regional collaboration and experience in matrix organizations are essential.
  • Experience in customer-facing roles or account support, with the ability to translate customer requirements into actionable configuration plans.
  • Demonstrated capability in technical project management, including planning, tracking, and executing configuration milestones.
  • Ability to manage complex configuration histories and ensure traceability across multiple product revisions and customer engagements.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Solid foundation in Engineering (mechanical, electrical, systems, process) with direct experience in semiconductor equipment design, manufacturing, field installation, or maintenance and support
  • More than seven years of semiconductor manufacturing or semiconductor equipment industry experience with a blend of technical depth and operational execution.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain product configurations in alignment with customer specifications and internal standards.
  • Function as the primary interface for Sales / Account Teams for configuration requests and issue resolution.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Business Management, Product Line Management, and Engineering to validate and maintain accurate customer order configurations.
  • Support configuration-related project activities, including planning, tracking, and providing input to execution of configuration freeze and validation.
  • Participate in New Product Integration (NPI) and Continuous Improvement Processes (CIP) to ensure configuration readiness and consistency over time.
