About The Position

Under general supervision, the Technical Business Analyst will serve as the liaison between the business community, the technical development and operations teams. Leads requirements analysis, validation and verification, ensuring that requirement statements are complete, consistent, concise, comprehensible, traceable, feasible, unambiguous, and verifiable actionable. Elicits requirements using interviews, document analysis, surveys, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, business analysis, task and workflow analysis, and/or requirements workshops. Communicates (verbal and written) with business units that rely on that information to define system requirements or organizational processes. Collects and analyzes the project's business requirements and transfers the same knowledge to the development team. Effectively communicates relevant information to management. Reviews and/or prepares system documentation and specifications in accordance with methodology. Collaborates with internal teams. Suggests areas for improvement in internal processes along with possible solutions. Facilitates requirements prioritization based on business value. Manages requirements traceability information and tracks requirements status throughout the project. Manages changes to requirements through effective use of change control processes and tools. Balances technology and business issues as well as communicates appropriately with both technology and business experts. Completes all required training applicable to this position. Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of this position. Other duties, as assigned.

Requirements

  • At least 4 years of experience working with technology in supporting a business environment.
  • Ability to think analytically, solve problems to complex business processes, and document results.
  • Ability to communicate complex ideas in a clear, concise manner across functional and technical departments.
  • Work on multiple tasks at any one time while maintaining high quality standards.
  • The candidate must be process-oriented with sound judgment, attention to detail, accuracy, and follow-through including the flexibility to perform in an ever-changing work environment.
  • The candidate must be energetic, driven and committed to project success while working under tight time constraints and pressure.
  • A strong understanding of SQL, data mapping, and Electronic Data Interface (EDI).
  • MSSQL and MSTFS (Team Foundation Software).

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business or related field, preferred; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
