About The Position

Deloitte is seeking an experienced Manager-level Senior Technical Business Analyst to join the IT Business Services team in Enterprise Business Solutions. The role bridges business and technology, combining strategic and technical business analysis, data-driven decision-making, and emerging technology innovation. The successful candidate will help shape how technologies such as Artificial Intelligence, Agentic AI, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), intelligent automation, and enterprise knowledge solutions can create value across the organisation. The position is a six-month contract with potential to extend, starting ASAP, and is offered on a competitive day rate inside IR35. The role is UK hybrid, with ad hoc travel to the nearest Deloitte office. Associates work through a Deloitte-approved Employment Company under PAYE arrangements; Personal Service Companies are not permitted.

Requirements

• Experienced Senior Technical Business Analyst with technical and data analysis capabilities, able to operate across business and technology domains.
• Experience leading analysis across complex programmes, products, and digital transformation initiatives, translating business needs into practical, scalable, value-driven solutions.
• Experience with business processes, platforms, systems, integrations, data, and emerging technologies.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, including leading discussions with business stakeholders at all levels, influencing decisions, supporting solution design, and contributing to continuous improvement.
• Experience leading discovery activities, requirements elicitation, and business analysis workstreams.
• Ability to translate complex information into clear business outcomes and solution requirements.
• Experience working within Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery frameworks.
• Experience with SQL or equivalent data interrogation and analysis techniques.
• Knowledge of APIs, integrations, and enterprise system interfaces.
• Knowledge of data analysis, data mapping, and source-to-target transformation concepts.
• Experience with cloud-based and SaaS technology environments.

• Power BI, Tableau, or equivalent analytics platforms.
• Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Fabric, and Dataverse.
• Power Platform, including Power Apps, Power Automate, and Copilot Studio.

Responsibilities

• Lead business analysis activities across complex programmes, products, and strategic initiatives.
• Represent business and user needs throughout the change lifecycle.
• Analyse business processes, enterprise systems, platforms, integrations, and technology ecosystems.
• Elicit, analyse, validate, and document business, functional, technical, and non-functional requirements.
• Translate business needs into user stories, acceptance criteria, process models, and solution requirements.
• Identify, analyse, and understand data sources across complex business and technology environments.
• Identify opportunities to use Artificial Intelligence, automation, and emerging technologies to improve business outcomes and user experiences.
• Produce business, functional, and technical requirements; user stories and acceptance criteria; As-Is and To-Be process models; functional specifications and solution designs; data requirements and source-to-target mappings; API and integration requirements; non-functional requirements; business rules and decision logic; system/context diagrams and functional models; gap and impact assessments; and requirements traceability.
• Develop test scenarios and support UAT; conduct defect and change analysis; address operational readiness and BAU requirements; and support requirements handover and knowledge transfer.
