About The Position

The Technical Business Analyst, AI combines hands-on technical expertise with client and delivery leadership. The role is the primary point of contact for client engagements and owns end-to-end delivery across AI, data, and application initiatives. It bridges client stakeholders and delivery teams, keeps execution on track, manages risks and escalations, and holds teams accountable for timelines and outcomes. The role also contributes directly to reporting implementations by gathering and translating requirements, designing data models and dashboards in Looker, and applying AI to improve analytics and insights. The successful candidate brings a consultative mindset, takes clear ownership, and can translate complex technical work into business value while maintaining operational rigor.

At least 5 years of experience delivering technology projects in a client-facing or consulting environment.
At least 3 years of experience as a technical business analyst or in a hands-on BI/reporting role, including requirements gathering, data modeling, and dashboard development.
Proven experience owning delivery outcomes, timelines, and client relationships, and managing complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives with competing priorities.
Experience working with cloud data warehouses and semantic layers.

Nice To Haves

Background in software engineering, data engineering, cloud infrastructure, or a related field.
Experience delivering AI/ML or analytics-driven solutions.
Hands-on experience with Looker, including LookML development, Explores, and dashboard design.
Experience applying AI and LLM capabilities to analytics and reporting, such as Gemini in Looker, conversational analytics, or AI-generated insights.
Familiarity with Google Cloud, including BigQuery, Azure, or AWS cloud environments.
PMP, Scrum Master, or equivalent certification.

Responsibilities

Serve as the primary client contact and own client relationships from kickoff through delivery, leading kickoff sessions, status meetings, demos, and executive updates.
Own end-to-end delivery plans, including milestones, dependencies, risks, and deliverables across AI, data, and application workstreams.
Monitor delivery health and proactively identify risks, bottlenecks, and misalignment; escalate issues and drive agreement on corrective actions.
Manage client issues and escalations by triaging concerns, coordinating resolution with internal teams, and communicating clear action plans.
Partner with clients on scope changes and evolving requirements, ensuring delivery, timeline, and priority impacts are understood and agreed upon.
Ensure tasks are defined, assigned, followed up on, and completed as committed; provide concise progress updates to clients and internal leadership.
Participate in technical discussions and design reviews, translating solution architecture, integrations, and implementation trade-offs into business-oriented insights.
Lead business analysis for reporting and analytics needs by eliciting requirements and translating business questions into KPIs, metric definitions, and functional specifications.
Implement reporting in Looker, including data modeling, LookML development, and dashboard and Explore design.
Partner with data engineers to validate source data, define the semantic layer, and ensure report accuracy, consistency, and performance.
Identify and implement opportunities to apply AI to reporting and analytics, including conversational analytics, natural-language querying, and AI-generated insights.
Own user acceptance testing for reports and dashboards, and document data definitions, business rules, report specifications, and user guides.
Coordinate cross-functional teams across engineering, data, QA, and cloud, supporting planning, onboarding, and capacity alignment while reinforcing priorities and ownership.
