About The Position

The Technical Baseline Manager role offers an opportunity to combine technical skills with big-picture thinking to make an impact in the DoW. The ideal candidate understands the customer’s environment and can develop the right systems for their mission. The ability to translate real-world needs into technical specifications is crucial for delivering a customer-focused engineering solution. In this role, you will work with Booz Allen colleagues and DoW clients to analyze, architect, engineer, integrate, test, and deploy the next generation of resilient Environmental Monitoring (EM) and Tactical Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (TISR) systems. Responsibilities include developing, integrating, and managing Technical Requirements Documents (TRDs), Interface Control Documents (ICDs), and Models-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) products. You will provide technical advice to senior program managers and executives on space system and segment design, and test issues to inform major program decisions. Additionally, you will perform systems engineering and program management functions in support of design reviews, technical evaluations, and requirements verification. This involves analyzing problems, developing technical reports, making recommendations, and collaborating with government and corporate stakeholders to implement recommended solutions.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience working on large-scale space systems engineering, integration, and development programs
  • 2+ years of experience performing and leading a team in the development and management of technical specifications, ICDs, concepts of operations (CONOPS), architectural designs, and integration and test plans
  • Experience leading requirements and interface management efforts for a major program
  • Experience using Microsoft Office tools, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Knowledge of systems engineering standards, including IEEE 15288.1 and IEEE 15288.2
  • Secret clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or CS

Nice To Haves

  • Experience performing systems engineering, integration, and testing on space-based remote sensing systems, including SBIRS, Next Gen OPIR, FORGE, WSF-M, or EWS
  • Experience with satellite Command and Control (C2) architecture and development
  • Experience using MBSE approaches to manage system definitions and technical baselines
  • Experience creating and managing Jira tickets or Confluence pages
  • Experience with SysML, Enterprise Architect, CAMEO, or DOORS NextGen
  • Knowledge of DoD 5000.01 and 5000.02
  • Knowledge of Agile methodologies
  • TS/SCI clearance
  • Master’s degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or CS
  • INCOSE Systems Engineering Professional Certification such as ASEP, CSEP, or ESEP Certification

Responsibilities

  • Analyze problems, develop technical reports, make recommendations, and work with government and corporate stakeholders to implement recommended solutions.
  • Coordinate and present technical changes across large stakeholder groups through review boards, including configuration control or engineering review.
