About The Position

Join a multidisciplinary team developing clinically relevant solutions to human disease. Support the preclinical development and in vivo evaluation of next-generation drug delivery devices, materials, and sensors in a fast-paced, interdisciplinary, and collaborative research environment.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in biology, zoology, pre-med, pre-vet, health sciences, or relevant field.
Two years of specialized lab experience (may include experience gained as an undergraduate).
Experience with sample collection and administration, IACUC protocols, and SOPs.
Strong organizational, communication, and recordkeeping skills.
Careful attention to detail.
Sound judgment.
Ability to manage multiple priorities while working independently and collaboratively.

Nice To Haves

Experience with large and small animals in a research field.
Basic understanding of regulatory requirements.
AALAS (American Association of Laboratory Animal Science) and/or CVT (Certified Veterinary Technician) certification.

Responsibilities

Planning, scheduling, and conducting in vivo studies and related activities.
Maintaining supplies, assessing equipment needs, and coordinating maintenance and repairs.
Recording test results and maintaining accurate animal health records, project schedules, study data, and findings.
Contributing to protocol modifications and annual reviews.
Developing and maintaining standard operating procedures for in vivo activities.
Summarizing and documenting research findings for investigators.
Presenting findings at laboratory meetings.
Conducting literature reviews as needed.
Researching and preparing content for presentations, grant applications, and fellowship proposals.
Ensuring compliance with laboratory safety standards and procedures.
Preparing the laboratory for inspections, identifying and correcting deficiencies, and maintaining an organized and safe research environment.
Coordinating and training lower-level staff, student employees, and temporary staff.
Communicating and interpreting laboratory standards, policies, and procedures.
Supporting consistent documentation and execution of study activities.
