Technical Analyst

Booz Allen Hamilton•Arlington, VA

About The Position

The Technical Analyst leads the collection, capture, and management of mission user needs, from prioritization and concept development through user story writing, to support development and deployment as a business analyst subject matter expert. The role facilitates the gathering of business-focused requirements for a product team and product owner, defines the backlog, and ensures the user’s perspective is considered. The analyst works with product owners and users to determine operational objectives and elicit requirements, with a focus on improving usability, user experience, adoption, and engagement. The position identifies core business needs; decomposes and documents concepts of operation, story maps, briefings, and user stories; documents business rules; and creates workflow diagrams as needed. It condenses complex business processes into actionable user stories with acceptance criteria, and works with IT and mission stakeholders to maintain a roadmap for the future-state system and identify process-reengineering opportunities. The role also applies quantitative and qualitative modeling techniques to data using emerging AI solutions; follows analytical best practices for data collection, aggregation, normalization, and analysis; and develops and maintains models, report templates, and data-driven solutions using Azure, GitHub Copilot, and ServiceNow. The analyst recommends performance measures, including lifts, efficiencies, confidence intervals, and other statistical metrics; mentors teammates; and provides regulatory banking clients with detailed, actionable reports documenting data-processing and analysis findings. The work supports the transformation of federal financial organizations. Applicants selected will undergo a government investigation and may need to meet U.S. government client eligibility requirements. The hiring process includes identity verification using biometrics and artificial intelligence. Candidates are expected to be on camera during interviews and assessments. AI assistance during interviews is prohibited unless explicitly permitted. The posting does not specify a workplace type; its work-model descriptions explain that remote or hybrid roles may require in-person attendance and that onsite roles are primarily performed at a customer facility.
