This position is responsible for conducting hearings and participating in informal conferences on complaints arising under the law within the area of responsibility. The role involves assembling evidence, preparing and presenting written complaints and pleadings. After decisions are made by committees/boards, the Technical Advisor II presents the written report of Findings and Recommendations to the Director. The position also recommends referral of unlicensed practice cases to sister enforcement agencies for prosecution and presents these cases to the State's Attorney or Attorney General’s Office or other enforcement authority to institute criminal proceedings. Additionally, the role prepares the Department Record and Answer in mandamus actions brought against the Department and consults with various parties regarding the application of licensing laws and regulations. Performs other duties as required or assigned.
