About The Position

The Technical Accounting Analyst for Global Industrial supports complex and high-visibility accounting areas, including global lease accounting, restructuring, and accounting for significant transactions such as acquisitions and divestitures. The position partners closely with subsidiaries, Real Estate, SEC Reporting, Internal Audit, and external auditors to ensure accurate financial reporting, strong internal controls, and compliance with U.S. GAAP.

The role is primarily office-based in a professional, climate-controlled setting and requires on-site presence four days per week, with one remote day permitted based on business needs. Travel is minimal (less than 5%), and occasional extended hours may be needed during peak periods such as month-end or year-end close. Work location is Atlanta, Georgia, or Birmingham, Alabama.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in accounting.
• At least 2 years of accounting experience.
• Understanding of financial statements and accounting principles.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas and pivot tables.
• Meticulous attention to detail.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

• Experience with CoStar Real Estate Manager.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with subsidiaries, Real Estate, and leased equipment suppliers to update lease accounting data in CoStar.
• Prepare monthly lease accounting journal entries.
• Perform monthly and quarterly lease accounting controls.
• Participate in the development, enhancement, and governance of company-wide accounting policies, including revenue recognition under ASC 606.
• Support quarterly and annual reporting processes as needed for technical matters.
• Serve as a key liaison with internal and external auditors for audit requests.
• Support enterprise-wide finance initiatives and special projects.
• Perform other responsibilities as assigned.
