Technical Accountant

About The Position

The Technical Accountant participates in day-to-day accounting functions at the corporate office and routinely works with personnel at both the corporate office and the Company's parks. The position performs a variety of accounting functions and processes, including general ledger reconciliations, journal entries, audit support, accounting documentation, ad hoc analyses, and assistance to other Corporate Finance departments. The role may also involve special projects and other assigned duties.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business Administration, or be working toward a degree with five years of accounting experience.
At least one year of accounting experience.
Ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders throughout the organization.
Ability to complete work independently and in a timely manner.
Ability to complete ad hoc projects at the request of management or auditors.
Strong communication skills.
Proven ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines in a team environment.
Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
Experience with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Nice To Haves

Master's degree.
CPA or CPA candidate.
Experience with SAP.

Responsibilities

Reconcile general ledger accounts, including cash, prepaid, and payable accounts; analyze supporting records and variances; and perform follow-up.
Prepare and post journal entries, including expense accruals and cash activity or transactions, after analyzing supporting operational and financial records and accounts.
Assist with facilitating audit processes.
Generate accounting documents and develop ad hoc analyses for internal and external customers.
Provide assistance to other Corporate Finance departments, such as corporate financial reporting, capital accounting, and budgeting.
Complete special projects and other duties as assigned.
