About The Position

We are seeking an experienced, detail-oriented technical accountant to join the Accounting team. The role is responsible for analyzing complex accounting fact patterns and documenting conclusions, working on special projects, and collaborating with individuals across the company to ensure proper accounting in accordance with US GAAP.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• CPA license.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
• Three or more years of relevant accounting experience.
• Experience with and detailed knowledge of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
• Detailed knowledge of ASC 606 and ASC 842.
• Experience writing technical accounting memoranda.
• Detail-oriented, with strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking abilities.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong understanding of financial principles, accounting standards, and financial analysis techniques.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Good interpersonal skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Efficient time-management and organizational skills.
• Flexibility and adaptability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Nice To Haves

• Experience and detailed knowledge of Cost Accounting Standards and Federal Acquisition Regulations.
• Proficiency with Oracle EBS.
• Proficiency with mainframe applications.

Responsibilities

• Assess complex customer contracts to determine appropriate accounting under ASC 606.
• Assess leases to determine appropriate accounting under ASC 842.
• Support monthly close activities.
• Work on special projects as needed.
• Routinely work with multiple departments and functions across the organization.
