About The Position

The Technical Account Manager (TAM) is a key member of webAI’s Industrial Business Development team, serving as a trusted technical advisor and solution strategist for a defined portfolio of strategic and growth industrial accounts across the Manufacturing, Energy, and Supply Chain sectors. Partnering closely with Strategic, Regional, and Sales Account Managers, the TAM translates the customer’s business vision into a long-term technical strategy and AI solution roadmap, demonstrating how advanced Artificial Intelligence and edge computing solutions enable future success in large-scale manufacturing, energy systems, and supply chain operations. This role requires both strategic foresight to align with executive-level business goals and the technical depth to influence system specifications, architect AI deployments, and guide solution delivery across complex, high-throughput industrial and logistics environments.

Requirements

  • 8+ years in account management, solution engineering, technical account management, or technical sales within manufacturing, energy, supply chain, or industrial enterprise software.
  • Solid understanding of industrial and supply chain systems (e.g., PLCs, edge computing, network architectures, sensor networks, SCADA, MES, WMS/TMS systems) and proven ability to translate complex operational needs into technical AI solutions.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, Manufacturing Technology, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • Ability to travel up to 30% domestically (with occasional international travel).

Nice To Haves

  • 10+ years in technical account management or solution architecture within manufacturing, energy, or supply chain management.
  • Hands-on experience with industrial AI/ML deployment, computer vision implementations, edge AI runtime environments, and large-scale AI deployment projects across industrial domains.
  • Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Supply Chain Engineering, or Business; relevant industry certifications (e.g., PMP, AI/Cloud certifications) are a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Build and Grow Partnerships: Establish relationships with key technical and operational decision-makers (e.g., CTOs, VPs of Engineering/IT, Chief Architects, Operations Leads) within Industrial End Users, Energy Providers, and Supply Chain Operators.
  • Executive Alignment: Represent webAI's technical vision in executive discussions, ensuring alignment between overarching business outcomes and technical AI feasibility.
  • Account Strategy Integration: Collaborate with Sales Account Managers to define the technical dimensions of account plans, integrating commercial objectives with enterprise AI and advanced automation strategies across manufacturing, energy, and logistics operations.
  • Tailored AI Roadmaps: Develop multi-year technical roadmaps tailored to core industrial processes, including discrete/process manufacturing, energy grid/asset management, automated warehousing, quality inspection, predictive maintenance, and supply chain optimization.
  • Blueprint Adaptation: Adapt webAI solution blueprints to meet customer-specific operational requirements and industry compliance standards.
  • Forward-Looking Vision: Provide a forward-looking perspective on how AI, computer vision, edge deployment, and connected production and supply systems can evolve with the customer’s operations.
  • Market Intelligence: Maintain deep expertise in manufacturing, energy, and supply chain trends, operational innovations, competitive AI offerings, and relevant industrial standards.
  • Ecosystem Engagement: Understand the broader technical ecosystem of manufacturing operations, energy infrastructure, and supply chain networks.
  • Technical Leadership: Act as the lead technical orchestrator for specialized internal resources (AI solution architects, data engineers, product teams, delivery partners) to ensure solution designs align with the technical roadmap.
  • Feasibility & Retrofits: Provide feasibility assessments for AI model deployment, edge hardware integration, retrofit strategies, and industrial facility enhancements.
  • Cross-Functional Bridge: Bridge the gap between Sales, Presales, Product Development, Delivery, and delivery partners during strategic engagements.
  • Demos & Proofs of Concept: Lead technical presentations, workshops, and proof-of-concept (PoC) initiatives to validate solution viability, performance, scalability, and integration into existing workflows.
  • Value Communication: Translate complex AI and data-driven concepts into clear, outcome-oriented proposals tailored for engineering, IT, and C-suite stakeholders.
  • Embed webAI Technology: Drive influenced business by specifying webAI's platform and models into manufacturing, energy management infrastructure, and supply chain automation pipelines.
  • Early Program Engagement: Identify opportunities for early engagement in large-scale expansion programs, energy modernization initiatives, greenfield and brownfield facilities, or global supply chain optimizations.
  • Long-Term Value Creation: Enable sustained customer value through scalable AI integration, lifecycle support, and continuous optimization.
