About The Position

Administers ionizing radiation using imaging modalities to perform highly specialized radiographic procedures. The technologist must understand principles of growth and development across the lifespan and assess and interpret patient-status information according to age-specific needs. In Interventional Radiology, the position provides support in the Interventional Radiology suites, imaging support in the Hybrid operating room, and assistance with Stealth guidance. The role functions as an Interventional Radiology, Cardiac Cath, or Electrophysiology Lab Technologist. This vacancy is not eligible for visa sponsorship or transfer. Mayo Clinic does not participate in the F-1 STEM OPT extension program.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Graduate of an accredited radiography program of study.
• Ability to improvise standard procedures.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment, making decisions and directing work and patient flow to achieve maximum operational efficiency.
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
• ARRT-R and Arizona CRT are required.
• Basic Life Support certification is required upon hire and must be valid for 90 days or greater from the start date.
• ACLS is required within 6 months of hire.
• CV, CI, VI, RCIS, or RCES is required within two years of hire.

Nice To Haves

• One year of experience as an interventional radiology or cardiac cath lab technologist.
• Certification in Cardiac or Vascular Intervention by the ARRT.

Responsibilities

• Provide support within Interventional Radiology suites.
• Provide imaging support for the Hybrid operating room.
• Assist in Stealth guidance.
• Function as an Interventional Radiology, Cardiac Cath, or Electrophysiology Lab Technologist.
• Maintain Basic Life Support competency.
