About The Position

The Tech Product Development Analyst Intern will join Stifel’s Technology Product Development analysis team and work with development teams and product management. The role supports the transformation of digital technology for financial advisors to strengthen client relationships. The intern will analyze, document, and understand business processes and procedures, and support discovery and solution development for firm-driven initiatives.

Requirements

• Basic understanding of financial industry terminology and concepts.
• Ability to research a problem from beginning to end and create detailed documentation.
• Strong analytical skills, including the ability to use logic, reasoning, and data to identify complex relationships, research recommended uses, and discuss recommendations.
• Pursuing a degree in Finance, Information Technology, Computer Science, or Business.

Nice To Haves

• At least one year of college completed.
• Experience with office productivity, reporting, and technical documentation software such as Excel, PowerPoint, and Google Drive applications.
• Experience with databases and SQL.

Responsibilities

• Develop an understanding of Stifel’s business and data models and use that knowledge to optimize the relationship between the company and its customers.
• Field inbound requests from business users and product management, refining requirements until the process being analyzed is fully understood.
• Perform limited due diligence to support quality and accuracy.
• Work according to standards and practices established by Product Management or senior team members.
• Learn how company applications and business practices affect customers and business processes.
• Research best practices and support development of solutions and recommendations for identified business areas.
• Analyze, document, and understand business processes and procedures in collaboration with development teams and product management.
• Support discovery and solutions for firm-driven initiatives and development.
