About The Position

The Technology Product Development Analyst Intern works as a member of Stifel’s analysis team, partnering with development teams and product management to analyze, document, and understand business processes and procedures. The intern also supports discovery and solutions for firm-driven initiatives and development. The role involves learning Stifel’s business and data models and company applications, and understanding how business practices and processes affect customers and the business.

Requirements

Pursuing a degree in Finance, Information Technology, Computer Science, or Business.
Basic understanding of financial industry terminology and concepts.
Ability to research a problem from beginning to end and create detailed documentation.
Strong analytical skills, including the ability to use logic, reasoning, and data to identify complex relationships and research and discuss recommended uses.

Nice To Haves

At least one year of college completed.
Experience with office productivity, reporting, and technical documentation software such as Excel, PowerPoint, and Google Drive applications.
Experience with databases and SQL.

Responsibilities

Develop an understanding of Stifel’s business and data models and use that knowledge to optimize the relationship between the company and its customers.
Field inbound requests from business users and product management, refining requirements until the process being analyzed is fully understood.
Perform limited due diligence to ensure quality and accuracy.
Work according to standards and practices set by Product Management or senior team members.
Learn company applications and business practices in the context of their effects on customers and business processes.
Research best practices and support development of solutions and recommendations for identified business areas.
