About The Position

The Tech Lead acts as a reference and technical guide for the developers on their team. Their technical knowledge, practical skills, agility, and communication abilities allow them to guide and influence the IT team in adopting sustainable development practices that comply with quality assurance standards. With a global vision of their product, they play a key role in acquiring, enriching, and sharing knowledge within their team. They balance their time between completing technical tasks (development, refining user stories, etc.), actively supporting colleagues, and developing talent. They foster a collaborative environment while staying focused on results and customer satisfaction.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field (or equivalent experience).
More than ten (10) years of relevant experience in the development of technological solutions or an equivalent combination of training and experience, and 5 years of experience in Exstream development.
Marked aptitude for interpersonal flexibility and teamwork.
Ease in simplifying information and providing feedback to both product team members and their manager.
Knowledge of Agile Frameworks such as SCRUM and Kanban.
Advanced proficiency in the French language, both spoken and written, as well as functional proficiency in the English language, both spoken and written, due to the nature of the tasks or interactions with English-speaking colleagues, partners, clients, or suppliers, or to meet the company's growth objectives.

Nice To Haves

Participation in scaled agile projects such as SAFe (an asset).
Advanced knowledge of technologies used in their team, particularly the tools/modules: Exstream and LiveEditor (Note: depending on the context of each).

Responsibilities

Ensure that developed solutions align with OpenText's recommended practices, provider of Exstream, in a logic of continuous improvement.
Accompany the team in adopting good development practices, adapting them agilely to the context and actively promoting them.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge on technological evolutions related to the product and share learnings to strengthen collective intelligence.
Ensure technological watch and recommend improvements for the performance and sustainability of the application portfolio.
Develop complex features and contribute to proof-of-concepts while staying focused on business objectives and client needs.
Intervene in resolving incidents and technical problems, promoting team autonomy and skill development.
Demystify technical issues for business partners with a user-centric approach focused on value creation.
Promote the adoption of new technological tools or new ways of doing things (artificial intelligence).
Ensure the quality of code produced by the team by implementing collaborative review practices and valuing readable, sustainable, and maintainable code.
Act as a guide and trainer by creating an environment conducive to professional development and team spirit.
Play a major role in the planning, execution, and delivery of large-scale projects, staying focused on expected results.
Contribute to cross-functional initiatives to strengthen collaboration and share best practices.
