About The Position

The Tech Assistant provides assistance to technologists, physicians, and other staff with peripheral activities associated with general diagnostic exams or other areas as directed. Duties include preparing patients for exams, assisting physicians during procedures as directed, obtaining supplies, accompanying patients, processing paperwork, entering information into computers, and processing images. The position also provides backup services as a Technical Associate and a PSR.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• One year of experience working in a direct patient care-related field.
• Healthcare provider CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Assist technologists, physicians, and other staff with activities associated with general diagnostic exams or other assigned areas.
• Prepare patients for exams.
• Assist physicians during procedures as directed.
• Obtain necessary supplies for procedures.
• Accompany patients.
• Process paperwork and enter information into computers.
• Process images.
• Provide backup services as a Technical Associate and as a PSR.
