About The Position

Northwest Center is seeking a Team Supervisor to oversee ship-provisioning operations in Bremerton and Everett. The role oversees and supports the loading of provisions onto naval vessels and involves hands-on outdoor work in varying weather. The Team Supervisor will help ensure logistics operations run smoothly while supporting Northwest Center’s mission of empowering individuals with disabilities. The position requires commuting between the two locations. Hours vary Monday through Sunday. Pay is $22.50–$24.00 per hour, with an additional $5.09 per hour for health and welfare.

Requirements

Ability to lead a team, demonstrated by successful management or supervision experience.
Prior material handling or general labor experience.
Ability to operate motorized and manual material-handling equipment, including 15-passenger vans, light and medium-sized trucks, and forklifts.
Must consistently lift and move goods weighing between 40 and 70 pounds.
Ability to work in small enclosed areas onboard vessels under varying temperatures, including hot and cold conditions.
Ability to walk up and down ladders and stand for long periods.
Valid driver's license and experience driving a passenger van.
Must be a U.S. citizen.
Ability to pass a Naval Clearance background check.

Responsibilities

Supervise and lead ship-loading teams in Bremerton and Everett, ensuring smooth operations and adherence to loading schedules.
Train, mentor, and support team members of diverse abilities, providing guidance and opportunities for skill development.
Collaborate with logistics and operations managers to optimize loading processes and resource allocation.
Maintain a strong focus on safety protocols and ensure team members follow safety guidelines and procedures.
Foster a culture of inclusivity, respect, and teamwork among team members.
