About The Position

Family Farm and Home Team Members contribute to the company’s mission of providing exceptional service, products, and prices that meet customers’ lifestyle needs. The role supports daily store operations and appearance through stocking and back stocking products, recovery, product assembly, register operation, and general cleanliness. Team Members assist customers in the store and through supported internet sites, help process special orders and online orders, and carry out operational priorities set by store management.

Requirements

Able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
Committed to excellent service and customer satisfaction.
Able to communicate clearly and effectively with customers and team members.
Organized, attentive to detail, and able to multitask.
Knowledge of basic computer systems.
Able to stand for extended periods and reach, bend, twist, kneel, and lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

Promote the Family Farm and Home mission statement and family values.
Execute daily operational goals and priorities assigned by store management.
Use Farm Hand to receive communications and tasks from the corporate office and store management.
Greet customers and interact with them in a pleasant and positive manner.
Invite customers to participate in company programs, including the loyalty program, extended warranties, add-on initiatives, financing, and Item of the Month.
Answer phone calls professionally.
Approach and assist customers in the store and on Family Farm and Home-supported internet sites, and process special orders.
Use the point-of-sale system to check out customers and follow cash-handling processes and procedures.
Use On the Go to complete POGs and mass layouts in the correct store locations.
Use Harvester to complete online customer orders.
Support and explain financing options, and use current financing websites to complete customer credit inquiries.
Assist with promotional signage, price changes, clearance prices, and other in-store signage as directed.
Assist with freight, recovery, and out-of-stock processes.
Achieve passing scores on corporate store audits, assessments, and store walks.
Remain aware of in-store safety issues and shoplifting activity, and communicate potential issues to store management.
Uphold and support company loss-prevention measures.
Operate a forklift and/or pallet jack safely and efficiently when at least 18 years old.
Assist with building and assembling store displays, products, and fixtures.
Maintain cleanliness in the sales floor, receiving area, cash office, register area, restrooms, and break room.
Uphold merchandising, store-cleanliness, and safety standards.
Assist with completing the Daily Operational standards checklist.
Contribute to a positive working environment for all team members.
Perform other duties assigned by store management or company officials.
