About The Position

The Team Member provides excellent customer service, maintains store cleanliness, and supports efficient store operations. The role helps create a positive shopping experience through prompt, friendly, and knowledgeable service. This is a part-time position of 15–20 hours per week. The posting highlights a closer shift every other weekend and a 10 a.m.–6 p.m. shift, with afternoons and evenings noted and flexible schedules available. Open availability is a plus.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Basic math skills and cash handling experience.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Reliable and punctual, with a strong work ethic.
• Able to stand for extended periods, up to 8 hours during shifts.
• Able to lift boxes and products weighing up to 50 pounds; frequent lifting is 10–25 pounds.
• Able to bend, squat, reach for products on high and low shelves, climb a ladder as needed, and walk throughout the store and between departments.
• Able to work in cold environments, including freezers and refrigerators, while restocking products.
• Able to perform repetitive tasks and sustain mental focus and physical stamina throughout a shift.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers with a positive and friendly attitude.
• Help customers locate products and make purchasing decisions.
• Maintain current knowledge of promotions, discounts, and new arrivals to recommend products.
• Upsell and cross-sell items to increase store sales.
• Operate the cash register, handle cash, provide correct change, process credit card payments, and complete sales transactions accurately and securely.
• Ensure sales records are accurate and balances are correct at the end of each shift.
• Restock shelves, refrigerators, and displays as needed.
• Clean and sanitize the store, including aisles, counters, and bathrooms.
• Assist with inventory control, including receiving, stocking, and rotating merchandise.
• Report low stock levels to the store manager and assist with inventory counts.
• Monitor the store for security issues, theft, or suspicious activity.
• Follow safety protocols and procedures to protect customers and staff.
• Work with other team members to meet store goals and improve the customer experience.
• Follow directions from store managers and supervisors to support daily operations.
• Perform seasonal snow removal as needed.
• Handle emergency situations and work alone when required.
