About The Position

All Team Members at Family Farm and Home are expected to support the company’s mission to provide exceptional service, products, and prices that fulfill customers’ lifestyle needs. The Team Member contributes to daily store operations and appearance by stocking products, placing items in back stock, recovering and assembling products, operating the cash register, and maintaining general cleanliness. The role includes welcoming and assisting customers in the store and through company-supported internet sites, processing special orders and online orders, handling phone calls, and using point-of-sale and other company systems. Team Members also help with merchandising, freight, promotional signage, store safety, loss prevention, and operational standards. The schedule must be flexible and include weekends, evenings, and holidays.

Requirements

Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with customers and team members.
Organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask.
Knowledge of basic computer systems.
Ability to stand for extended periods and reach, bend, twist, kneel, and lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

Promote the Family Farm and Home mission statement and family values.
Carry out daily operational goals and priorities assigned by store management.
Use Farm Hand to receive communications and tasks from the corporate office and store management.
Greet customers and interact with them in a pleasant and positive manner.
Encourage customers to participate in company programs, including the loyalty program, extended warranties, add-on initiatives, financing, and Item of the Month.
Answer phone calls professionally and assist customers in-store, through company-supported internet sites, and with special orders.
Use the point-of-sale system to check out customers and follow cash-handling procedures.
Use On the Go to complete planograms and mass layouts in the correct store locations.
Use Harvester to complete online customer orders.
Support and promote financing options and use current financing websites to complete customer credit inquiries.
Help set promotional signage, price changes, clearance prices, and other in-store signage as directed.
Assist with freight, recovery, and out-of-stock processes.
Achieve passing scores on corporate store audits, assessments, and store walks.
Monitor in-store safety issues and shoplifting activity and communicate potential issues to store management.
Uphold company loss-prevention measures.
Operate a forklift and/or pallet jack safely and efficiently, if at least 18 years old.
Help build and assemble store displays, products, and fixtures.
Maintain cleanliness of the sales floor, receiving area, cash office, register area, restrooms, and break room.
Uphold merchandising, cleanliness, and safety standards.
Help complete the Daily Operational Standards checklist.
Contribute to a positive working environment for all team members.
Perform other duties assigned by store management or company officials.
