About The Position

Family Farm and Home Team Members contribute to the company’s mission of providing exceptional service, products, and prices that fulfill customers’ lifestyle needs. They support daily store operations and maintain the store’s appearance by stocking and recovering merchandise, placing products in back-stock areas, assembling products and displays, operating the cash register, and keeping store areas clean. Team Members serve customers in person and through company-supported internet sites, assist with special orders, and promote available customer programs and financing options. The role requires a flexible schedule, clear communication, attention to detail, organizational skills, multitasking, basic computer knowledge, and the ability to perform the stated physical tasks.

Able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
Committed to excellent service and customer satisfaction.
Able to communicate clearly and effectively with customers and team members.
Organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask.
Knowledge of basic computer systems.
Able to stand for extended periods and reach, bend, twist, kneel, and lift up to 50 pounds.
At least 18 years old to operate a forklift and/or pallet jack.

Responsibilities

Promote Family Farm and Home’s mission statement and family values.
Carry out daily operational goals and priorities assigned by store management.
Use Farm Hand to receive communications and tasks from the corporate office and store management.
Greet customers and interact with them in a pleasant, positive, and helpful manner, including in-store and on supported internet sites.
Encourage customers to use company programs, including the loyalty program, extended warranties, add-on initiatives, financing, and Item of the Month.
Answer phone calls professionally and process special orders.
Use the POS system to check out customers and follow cash-handling procedures.
Use On the Go to complete POGs and mass layouts in the correct store locations.
Use Harvester to complete online customer orders.
Explain and support financing options, and use current financing websites to complete customer credit inquiries.
Assist with promotional signage, price changes, clearance pricing, and other in-store signage as directed.
Assist with freight, merchandise recovery, and out-of-stock processes.
Achieve passing scores on corporate store audits, assessments, and store walks.
Monitor in-store safety concerns and shoplifting activity, and communicate potential issues to store management.
Follow company loss-prevention measures.
Safely and efficiently operate a forklift and/or pallet jack if at least 18 years old.
Help build and assemble store displays, products, and fixtures.
Maintain cleanliness in the sales floor, receiving area, cash office and register area, restrooms, and break room.
Uphold merchandising, cleanliness, and safety standards.
Help complete the Daily Operational Standards checklist.
Contribute to a positive working environment for team members.
Perform other duties assigned by store management or company officials.
