About The Position

Family Farm and Home is a family-owned and operated retail company serving customers across Michigan, Indiana, Ohio, Maryland, and Pennsylvania. Team Members support the company’s mission by providing exceptional customer service and helping customers find products that meet their lifestyle needs. The role contributes to daily store operations and appearance, including stocking and organizing merchandise, recovering and assembling products, operating the cash register, assisting with online and special orders, and maintaining store cleanliness. Team Members also support promotional activities, store safety, loss prevention, and operational standards, and complete other duties assigned by store management or company officials.

Able to communicate clearly and effectively with customers and team members.
Organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask.
Knowledge of basic computer systems.
Able to stand for extended periods and reach, bend, twist, kneel, and lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

Promote Family Farm and Home’s mission statement and family values.
Execute daily operational goals and priorities assigned by store management.
Use Farm Hand to receive communications and tasks from the corporate office and store management.
Greet customers and interact with them in a pleasant and positive manner.
Invite customers to participate in company programs, including the loyalty program, extended warranties, add-on initiatives, financing, and Item of the Month.
Answer phone calls professionally and assist customers in the store and on supported internet sites, including processing special orders.
Use the point-of-sale system to check out customers and follow cash-handling processes and procedures.
Use On the Go to complete planograms and mass layouts in the correct store locations.
Use Harvester to complete online customer orders.
Explain and support financing options, and use current financing websites to complete customer credit inquiries.
Assist with promotional signage, price changes, clearance pricing, and other in-store signage as directed.
Assist with freight, recovery, and out-of-stock processes.
Achieve passing scores on corporate store audits, assessments, and store walks.
Monitor in-store safety issues and shoplifting activity and communicate potential issues to store management.
Uphold and support company loss-prevention measures.
Operate a forklift and/or pallet jack safely and efficiently, if 18 years old or older.
Help build and assemble store displays, products, and fixtures.
Maintain cleanliness of the sales floor, receiving area, cash office, register area, restrooms, and break room.
Uphold merchandising, store-cleanliness, and safety standards.
Assist with the Daily Operational Standards checklist.
Contribute to a positive working environment for all team members.
Perform other duties assigned by store management or company officials.
