About The Position

The Team Member at Family Farm and Home contributes to the company mission of providing exceptional service, products, and prices for customers’ lifestyle needs. The role supports daily store operations and maintenance, including stocking and back-stock placement, product recovery and assembly, cash-register operation, and general cleanliness. Team Members serve customers in the store and through company-supported internet sites, assist with special orders, and complete operational tasks assigned by store management.

Able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.

Able to communicate clearly and effectively with customers and team members.
Organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask.
Knowledge of basic computer systems.
Able to stand for extended periods and reach, bend, twist, kneel, and lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

Promote Family Farm and Home’s mission statement and family values.
Execute daily operational goals and priorities assigned by store management.
Use Farm Hand to receive communications and tasks from the corporate office and store management.
Greet customers entering and leaving the store and interact with them in a pleasant, positive manner.
Invite customers to participate in company programs, including the loyalty program, extended warranties, add-on initiatives, financing, and Item of the Month.
Answer phone calls professionally.
Approach and assist customers in the store and on company-supported internet sites, and process special orders.
Use the POS system to check out customers and follow cash-handling processes and procedures.
Use On the Go to complete POGs and mass layouts in the correct locations according to the store layout.
Use Harvester to complete online customer orders.
Support and explain customer financing options and use current financing websites to complete credit inquiries.
Assist with promotional signage, price changes, clearance prices, and other in-store signage as directed.
Assist with freight, recovery, and out-of-stock processes.
Achieve passing scores on corporate store audits, assessments, and store walks.
Monitor in-store safety issues and shoplifting activity and communicate potential issues to store management.
Uphold and support company loss-prevention measures.
Operate a forklift and/or pallet jack safely and efficiently, if at least 18 years old.
Assist with building and assembling store displays, products, and fixtures.
Maintain cleanliness in the sales floor, receiving area, cash office, register area, restrooms, and break room.
Uphold merchandising, store cleanliness, and safety standards.
Assist with completing the Daily Operational standards checklist.
Contribute to a positive working environment for all team members.
Perform other duties assigned by store management or company officials.
